Hosted at the Genesis Group Training Center in Wauwatosa, where we will address firearm handling tactics for loading and unloading, clearing malfunctions, drawing skills to increase accuracy for first round on target and engagement strategies for single and multiple threats.  How to beat the draw and manipulate your firearm-trigger-sights in close and confined spaces. You will be taught drawing exercises, hand/eye coordination drills and addressing the obligation of being a responsible firearm owner and how to incorporate all of this in live fire exercises.

Skill Building Workshop & Handgun Retention Tactics

Saturday, August 5, 2017: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Hosted at MATC Oak Creek Campus Police Firing Range, this hands-on workshop will require active participation in all LIVE FIRE exercises and activities through guided discovery, building sub-skills and developing core skills to increase performance during all stages of a gunfight and enhance performance for deploying firearm survival tactics – when a threat is pointing a gun at you. These skills are not commonly taught to civilians anywhere in the U.S. and in many locations, are never addressed for law enforcement and military personnel unless on special assignment. This program is the second part of the skills building workshop, and will teach you how, why and what to do when you are facing an armed threat. To include developing your survival surrender position, contact shots, de-escalation and engagement strategies for winning against all odds, and how to put it all together in live firearm exercises. All skills in this program are lifesaving skills and translate from the classroom to the range to winning real world encounters.
